Embroidery! So much!!! Heidi Boyd Kits

When I was a kid, I did a little embroidery but I really didn't like the satin stitch, and it felt like everything was a satin stitch nightmare. But during the pandemic I decided I wanted to try my hand at embroidery again and found Heidi Boyd's Whimsy Kits on Etsy. No satin stitch!! Woohoo!!!

My first one was this hummingbird pattern. It has something satin stitch-y though... Long short stitches. Still it was a manageable amount.

Then I did her under the sea tote... I modified it a bit by adding my friend's name, a to the beach, and Cutesy Crafts mermaid tail...

 Then I did her Northwoods tote...
