Embroidery: How to "Display" It

Displaying Embroidery

I love to do embroidery! I love it! I'm always embroidering something. But when you are constantly making something- well, many things- you've got to figure out what to do with it/them.

Hoops
Some people love the hoop method. It hasn't really appealed to me until I thought about tulle as my ground fabric. The see-through nature of tulle allows you to do things you couldn't do with a typical opaque fabric so in this case I did a single picture in 5 layers in 5 different hoops. I'm really pleased with how it looks!

Dolls
Again there are a million different dolls you can do, but this is my favorite.

Clothing
Of course clothing is a perennial choice. Here's a hapi coat I made for my husband with some embroidery on it.
