Embroidery!! So much!! Jessica Long

I found this gorgeous Jessica Long pattern and knew I had to do it! My friend has become a little crow-obsessed after reading Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton, which I recommended to her. I named one of the birds ST after the main character. And then because I had the fabric already and it amused me, I lined the bag with chicken fabric!

While I was wandering around her website I decided to get her book because I loved several of the patterns in the book!

I decided to make her hedgehog pattern and made it a tote as well! (I also got myself her hedgehog needle minder because it was too cute to resist- though I will confess she has several cute needle minders!) I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out!!

Next I worked on the shell pattern in her book! It's looking pretty good!

Here is the completed project! It's a narrower tote bag than my previous totes. Like the others, though, the shells are an outer pocket. This time 'round flamingos on the beach make up the fun lining!
