Punch Rug Hooking

My friend wanted to learn how to do this and she found a class for us to take in San Francisco. We took it, and I quite enjoyed it! I made a little 7"x7" square.

Then like a nut, I decided my very next project would be a 31.5"x63" rug! It's based on a Motawi peony tile that I fell in love with! I had to buy the yarn in small quantities and so there are several different dye lots. Oh well!

Then I made a couple of pillows also based on some Motawi tiles. One was a Christmas wreath and the other a Charley Harper cardinal tile.

Then I decided that I would do an Easter Island inspired rug. I used a photograph I took on Easter Island as the basis for my design. Another dye lot problem and certainly a lesson in planning!!!
