Fall Embroidery Projects

When we lived in Vietnam, we bought this plate and I have always loved it, so I decided to embroider it. I'm not sure what I will do with this, but I love it!

I have been really enamored of embroidered boxes and have wanted to do one. This is my attempt at a box. It's not great and I'm sure I'll be trying this again!! The base box is a kit I got from Colorway Arts by Claudi Squio. Her kits are fantastic and I love doing them! I just haven't gotten to the level of coolness I want!! Maybe one day! It is an ocean themed box because that's what I love to do!

I loooooooooooove Lower Decks, and so does my friend, so I decided to do the logo for the California class as an ornament for her. Hopefully, the flaws won't bother her! The logo is from the show, but here's a link to the photo I used to base mine on.

When I saw this design, Blue Bead by Tatiana Popova in Inspirations, I knew I wanted to do it! I love it so much!!

My friend's daughter is in nursing school, and when I saw someone on Facebook talking about this Thread Anatomy's embroidery pdfs I thought that would make an awesome Christmas present for her.  But what to do with the finished embroidery? A pillow? A bag? cartonnage of course!!! That's my new obsession!!! One of Thread Anatomy's customers posted a picture of their work and they had used red, blue, and purple, so I thought I would use colors too!

Of course, I thought I should do a nice monogram on the inside pocket, and Mary Corbet's heart monograms seemed perfect! The fact that I hadn't used the heart monogram pattern yet felt like kismet!
